Blogathon 2k10!

blogathon_badge_square_160px It’s almost like I thought writing a novel and preparing an academic presentation were not enough for a single month, so I decided to take on yet another writing challenge: WordCount’s 3rd Annual Blogathon.

The rules are simple: blog every day.  Seven days a week for the entire month of May.

I figure that with writing taking its rightful place in my life for the next four months that I should at least give this a shot. I’m not sure if I’ll make it (I hope I do), but I’m going to try.

Many of you post something every day and have a lot going on, so I am going to follow your examples. This endeavor is over doubling my typical monthly output (I tend to post 3x a week as opposed to 7x), so I’m a little scared. But excited.

1 down; 30 to go.

  1. That sounds like an interesting challenge. I would totally do it if I wasn’t getting married this month…

    I may try anyway.

    • Congratulations, Void! That’s fantastic. Despite all the ill feelings you may hear bachelor friends share, getting married very well may be the best decision I ever made. I’ve never been happier. I wish you both the very best. I demand pictures on your blog, though!

And I feel your pain. I missed out on NaNoWriMo last year because of getting married on Oct 31. There wasn’t much way I could see writing a novel with being gone for our honeymoon part of the month.

Maybe next year, for me, though. And I don’t know if I am going to be able to actually do 31 blogs this month myself, but I’m sure going to try.

  2. Wow, you are very prolific!
