A Blast from Beej’s Past: My First Webcomic

And today we have another blast from my past. I was searching through my old writing folder a few days ago when I ran across the only webcomic I ever had anything to do with.

When I was working for Stratics, I was also following in-development MMO Horizons. The game turned out to be a flop, but it had a lot of potential early on. One of the things that Stratics wanted to do was run a regular webcomic chronicling the development of the game as new information was released, and they came to me to script it.

Below is the only one of the comics that ever came to fruition, though I did find a script I made for a second one. I can’t remember what happened to make us not keep producing them, but I think it’s funny to find silly stuff like this tucked away that I had almost forgotten completely about.

    Oh and thanks for allowing free Name/URLs in the comments now. I hate using my OpenID now that blogger has changed it to link to info page rather than the persona and website. I always wonder if people know who I actually am when I just post as 'gordon' :)

  2. Oh, it's silly; I make no qualms about that.

    But about the names, I didn't even know that wasn't an option until Anna from Too Many Annas Twittered me and told me. I stay logged in with my Google account, so it never pops up as a problem for me.

    Just one of those things I don't really like on Blogger, but it was where I set up first and don't want to import to WordPress and have to reconfigure yet another template to work so close to the other problems I've had with it.
